Dehradun. (September 23) BJP has challenged Congress to come forward with solid facts instead of spreading lies on Smart City. Congress is anti-development and it uses propaganda as a weapon.
State media in-charge Manveer Singh Chauhan quipped that due to the desire to become the mayor, there is a competition among Congress leaders to make misleading statements.
Responding to questions of journalists at the party headquarters, he said, Congress leaders are spreading confusion about development schemes. Because in view of the proposed civic elections, there is a competition among Congressmen to make false statements. They also know that work is going on rapidly in the capital on the Smart City project of the Center. When all these works are completed, the picture of the cities is sure to change. This is the reason why Congress leaders are trying to mislead the public by showing a false picture of the problems caused due to the monsoon season.
He has termed the Congress allegations of scam regarding the Smart City works as baseless and factless. Because if they had some concrete documents or information, they would have already made it public. But there is a tug of war going on in the Congress party regarding the mayor seat. This is the reason why they are competing to do negative politics of false allegations and statements one after the other. As far as the Bharatiya Janata Party is concerned, the Dhami government is working on the policy of zero tolerance on the issue of corruption. Our government is living up to the trust of the public.
He said that Congress has been against development. Congress always stands against any work of public interest or development work. This is its attitude towards the development work being done in every area of the state. The public knows the intentions of the Congress better and the propaganda being spread by it is not going to have any effect. Rather, the public will respond with more force.
