On account of September being marked as Deaf Awareness Month, world renowned singer Anuradha Paudwal through her social welfare initiative ‘Suryodaya Foundation’ released a short PSA film titled ‘Silent Chaos’ to further her support towards serving the deaf community and the public at large with awareness, inclusivity, deaf culture, care and cure. Conceptualized by the singer herself, the film is directed by Mihirr Upadhyay propagating the idea of this year’s theme for ‘World Deaf Day’ which fell on the last Sunday of this month of ‘Ear and Hearing Care for All’.

Speaking of the film, Padma Shri Dr. Anuradha Paudwal said, “India has one of the largest population of people suffering from hearing impairment. In my pursuit of working for the deaf community, I decided to make a short film in public interest to create awareness of improving hearing health of all hearing deficient individuals ranging from kids to elderly. With this film, we hope to make a positive difference in the lives of those facing auditory challenges by promoting acceptance and unity.”

Anuradha Paudwal has been closely and relentlessly working on bettering lives of deaf individuals and has so far donated over 1000 hearing aids via her foundation across India post conducting screening camps to identify the severity of deafness and thus donating customized hearing aids. Belonging to the world of music, her compassion towards the cause is compelling.
