Holiday Inn Mumbai Presents “Kathiyawad Food Festival” with Celebrity Chef Poonam Dedhia

Holiday Inn Mumbai International Airport is set to transport food lovers straight to the heart of Gujarat with its Kitchens of Kathiyawad- a Kathiyawad Food Festival, curated by celebrity Chef Poonam Dedhia. The festival will be held from 5th to 14th September at hotel’s all-day dining restaurant, Saptami, during dinner.

Kathiyawad, a vibrant region of Gujarat, is known for its bold flavors, earthy spices, and hearty dishes. Guests can look forward to a specially designed menu featuring authentic specialties – from traditional dishes like Dal Vada, Kutchi Dabeli, Gujarati Vara ni dal and spiced curries to regional breads, chutneys, and indulgent sweets.

Celebrity Chef Poonam Dedhia, is widely celebrated for her expertise in Gujarati, Kutchi, and Kathiyawadi cuisines. A passionate champion of heirloom recipes and regional flavors, Chef Dedhia views cooking as both therapy and storytelling-drawing inspiration from her late mother and her cultural roots. She has been featured on television, hosted large-scale events including a 1,000-guest food showcase in Ahmedabad, and continues to bring Gujarati culinary heritage to the forefront through her signature festivals like Swaad Kathiyawad Ka. Recently honored as Best Regional Chef – Gujarati Cuisine in India 2025 at the Better Kitchen Convention & Awards, she blends authenticity with innovation, making her the perfect face of Holiday Inn Mumbai’s Kathiyawad Food Festival at Saptami.

Speaking about the festival, Chef Poonam Dedhia said, “Kathiyawad cuisine is a celebration of flavor, heritage, and warmth. I am excited to bring these authentic dishes to Mumbai diners, offering them a taste of Gujarat’s rich culinary traditions.”

The festival will be available from 5th-14th September, as buffet dinner priced at INR 2800 per person plus taxes. Timings of the festival are 7 PM onwards.
