Champawat. Chief Forest Conservator Dr. Dheeraj Pandey, who reached Champawat on a two-day visit to the district, took stock of the various development works being done in the district. During this, he asked how better work can be done by the Forest Department regarding Adarsh Champawat. He held a meeting with the concerned officials regarding that and issued necessary guidelines. Said that the work of connecting people to employment will be done by developing Jim Corbett Trail.
While talking to journalists at the DFO office on Saturday, the Forest Conservator said that in relation to the vision of Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami to make Champawat district an ideal Champawat, necessary guidelines have been issued by holding a meeting with the concerned officials regarding how the Forest Department can cooperate in it. He said that how the Jim Corbett Trail should be developed by the Forest Department. So that local people can be linked to employment.
Said that this will also promote tourism activities. Along with this, work is being done with the priority of providing employment at the local level to the youth receiving training under the Homestay and Nature Guide Training Program. He said that whatever work is being done by the forest department at various places in Champawat district, work is being done on how to provide employment to the local people.
Along with developing the Jim Corbett train through tourism, connecting the villages around it will be a priority. Last month, the forest department will make every effort to provide employment to the youth under the nature guide training program. On this occasion, DFO RC Kandpal, SDO Neha Chaudhary, Ranger Dinesh Joshi, Chatur Singh, Prakash Mehra and others were present.
