Dehradun. The next 24 hours can be very difficult for Uttarakhand. According to the weather department forecast, heavy rain is expected in Uttarakhand for the next 24 hours. In view of the possibility of heavy rain, a red alert has also been issued in the state. There is a possibility of heavy rain in Chamoli, Dehradun, Pithoragarh, Bageshwar, Champawat, Nainital, Udham Singh Nagar, Almora Haridwar.

Advisory has also been issued by the government regarding these districts. The government has asked the officials of NDRF, SDRF, Disaster Department, District Administration to remain alert in view of the rain. Instructions have also been given to be ready to open NH, PWD, State Highway immediately in case of landslide.

It is worth noting that it has been raining continuously in Uttarakhand since night, due to which there is news of Malwa coming on many routes.

The government has also appealed to the people to avoid traveling in the mountains unless it is very necessary. In view of heavy rains, schools have been closed in many districts including Dehradun and Bageshwar.
