Lohaghat (Champawat) On Monday evening, there was a commotion in the Bajrangbali ward of Lohaghat when a snake entered the Anganwadi centre of the ward. On getting information about the snake entering the centre, Anganwadi worker Anita Joshi and the people nearby informed the outgoing Municipal Head Govind Verma.

Verma immediately informed the Municipality and Forest Department about the snake entering the Anganwadi centre and himself reached the spot. On receiving the information, the Municipality and forest workers reached the Anganwadi centre with rescue equipment and after a lot of hard work, they caught the snake and left it safely in the forest.

Outgoing Municipal Head Govind Verma said that it was fortunate that the entry of the snake was detected on time, otherwise anything could have happened to the children when the centre opened yesterday. Sumit Garkoti, Sandeep Valmiki and forest workers were involved in the rescue operation.
